Day breaks without warning
night springs into morning.
stars slowly fade away,
sun brings a dawing day,
light filters thru the trees,
leaves ruffeled by the breeze,
clouds float by in shapes as they may,
outlined by their silver and grey,
sun shines bright in the noonday sky,
the brightness surley squints my eye,
shadows move across the ground,
reveals the day is winding down,
beyond horizon the sun will fade,
leaves no trace of the day once made.
