The ocean is flat it looks like a lake,

there aren't any waves and barely a wake.

Children play and romp in the sand,

search for shells and dig with their hand.

Snorklers swim by the placid reef,

viewing activities of creatures beneath.

Fishermen cast their line from shore,

reel it in then do it once more.

Surfers relax on the beach as well,

while dreaming about the next big swell.
